Neither Blanchard nor Anderson has directly addressed the reason for their separation. However, she was the first to publicly break the news in a Facebook post on March 15. Remember, Gypsy filed to divorce Ryan earlier this month amid a few blow-up fights over issues like Gypsy spending time with family, and Ryan loading up the fridge with leftovers. Our sources say Gypsy thought she would simply lose the money once deleting her account. But, when she hopped back on the platform this week she discovered TikTok had released the funds into Ryan's PayPal account. Since she didn't have a PayPal account, Gypsy hooked it up to her then-husband Ryan Anderson's account ...

Blanchard, 32, was released Dec. 28 from the Chillicothe Correctional Center, where she served eight years of her 10-year sentence for conspiring to kill her mother with her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn in 2015. Blanchard has since returned to her home state of Louisiana with her husband, Ryan Scott Anderson. For the most part, the situation with Gypsy's father, Rod Blanchard, seems to line up with what's seen in The Act. Gypsy was led to believe her dad was a deadbeat who had abandoned her. Dee Dee even told friends and doctors that Rod was a drug addict who didn't want anything to do with them.

Married while she was still in prison, she and her husband filed for divorce in April 2024. Dee Dee Blanchard had essentially kept her daughter prisoner and duped doctors into doing unnecessary procedures by telling them that her daughter’s medical records had been lost in Hurricane Katrina. Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s attorney said the mother had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a psychological disorder in which parents or caregivers seek sympathy through the exaggerated or made-up illnesses of their children.

But even though public opinion had shifted against Dee Dee, the issue of her murder still stood. In the HBO Gypsy Rose Blanchard documentary Mommy Dead and Dearest, Gypsy said that these were in fact her mother's last words to her. In the Hulu series, Dee Dee says this to Gypsy as Gypsy is saying goodnight to her, just before she lets Nick into the house to commit the murder, which in real life happened at approximately 3 am on June 10, 2015. It's true that Gypsy provided the knife, which she had stolen from Walmart. She stayed in the bathroom and covered her ears while Nick stabbed her mother in her mother's bedroom.

Gypsy was convicted of second-degree murder and is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for her involvement in her mother Dee Dee's death. She will become eligible for parole after serving 85% of her sentence, or eight-and-a-half years. As for Gypsy's boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, he was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. She describes her husband Ryan Scott Anderson, a 37-year-old special education teacher from Lake Charles, Louisiana, as a “teddy bear.” In the pre-dawn hours last Thursday, Anderson picked her up at the prison. They had planned to go to the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday; she dreamed she might even bump into superstar Taylor Swift as she cheered on her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce. She made friends, earned her GED and overcame early shortcomings in her education that left her unable to do basic math. While behind bars, she even met and married someone who forged a relationship with Gypsy by writing to her on a whim.
